EXPERIENCE CELESTIAL SOUNDS
REIKI INSPIRED SOUNDBATHS
"We humans have lost the wisdom of genuinely resting and relaxing. We worry too much. We don't allow our bodies to heal, and we don't allow our minds and hearts to heal"
Thich Nhat Hanh
Relaxation is often yearned for, yet it can be difficult to experience.
Amid the rush of life, we can struggle to prioritise true relaxation and the huge benefits it gives to mind, body and spirit. Soothing and quietening the mind whilst releasing tension in the body can be quickly and effectively achieved through the soundbath experience.

Making yourself comfortable on a yoga mat with blankets and cushions, let your worries and tensions drift away on a cloud otherworldly music.
Using a full set of seven Crystal Singing Bowls, which activate each of the seven chakras, I fuse my Reiki training whilst playing the bowls to promote energy flow during the soundbath. Harmonic singing, along with Tam Tam Gong, Tibetan singing bowls, Koshi Chimes, Wave Drum and Tuning Forks allow me to create one-off soothing soundscapes, while the sound waves and vibrations generated permeate the body, allowing your natural energy to release and flow.
Benefits from participants include help with insomnia, emotional balance, mental clarity, not to mention self care and pampering! Each session ends with a delicious fruit tea and a chance to chat about how the experience felt for you.

Located near Wickersley, Rotherham, I work in and around the Sheffield area providing group soundbaths, and also working with private clients on one to one or two person bespoke sessions.
Celestial Sounds is available for private events, please explore the website for further information, and feel free to contact me to discuss a booking.

ABOUT
The Celestial Sounds Journey
Originally from Norfolk, with it's big skies and endless beaches, art and music were always central to my childhood, I enjoyed
playing instruments as varied as piano, flute, guitar and drums. After completing a degree in Textiles at Liverpool JMU, a year working and travelling round Australia introduced me to the sound healing traditions within Aboriginal culture.
Always inspired by other musicians and their music, over the years I collaborated in writing, recording and performing music, truly convinced of the healing qualities of harmonic sound.

Moving to South Yorkshire to be with my husband and now 'roadie' James in 2017, we have loved exploring the peaks, moors and coastline of Yorkshire together, including the magical stone circles and ancient woodlands.

Discovering crystal singing bowls was love at first sound! After months of playing at home for friends and family I decided to start a local monthly soundbath session, which has been running since January 2023. Since then I have created a beautiful sound room at our home, where I provide personalised soundbaths.
My training as a Level 2 Reiki practitioner, along with a CMA accredited Diploma in Sound Therapy, enables me to combine Reiki healing and energy work with the chakra based crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, Gong, tuning forks and other instruments.
Being a singer for many years, it was a natural progression to incorporate my voice as another 'instrument', singing with the bowls to create layered harmonic soundscapes for the ultimate relaxation experience.
My husband James also loves music and studied singing from an early age, becoming Head Chorister at his local church and going on to sing with The Sheffield Philharmonic Choir, as well as running karaoke nights for many years!
We also perform together around the local area as 'Shore 2 Shore', a singing and entertainment duo.

IS SOUNDBATHING FOR ME?
Soundbaths are universal. If you'd like to experience something different, unique and truly relaxing, then my monthly group sessions are only £10 per person. This session is suitable for 16+ year olds.

I run the Sound Sessions for children from 8-15 yrs, plus I can run special adapted Sound Sessions for SEN classes.
Soundbaths are generally not recommended for people with the following conditions:
-
Less than 13 weeks’ pregnant.
-
Have a pacemaker, metal implants or plates fitted in their body.
-
Have seizures of any kind.
-
Knowingly have any condition (including tinnitus) triggered by sound.
-
Recently had surgery or medical procedures.
-
Have any ongoing physical or mental health conditions.
I have had many people attend with various hearing conditions and tinnitus, so it is very much down to the individual person to decide if a soundbath is suitable for themselves. On the whole, most people find it fine, but it is absolutely OK to leave the session if it's uncomfortable in any way for you.
